Things to ask a technical co-founder

I was asked this today, and so I put together this cheat sheet. Feedback and amendments appreciated.

1. (For a customer-facing product) Who is the most important customer for the product?

2. How do you go about getting insight about that customer?

3. How do you determine what is valid feedback and what isn’t?

4. What, in your view, is the most important quality for a head of product to possess?

5. What, in your view, is the most important quality for the head of engineering/development to possess?

6. In making choices about programming languages and environments, how do you select the right tools for the job?

7. What products made by others do you like, excluding Apple Inc?

8. How do you resolve disagreements with coworkers?

9. Do you like managing people?

10. In previous roles, how did you evaluate a product’s success?
